In the heart of the "Bourbonnais", 25 km from Moulins, the Paray-le-frésil castle, built during the reign of Louis XIII, has been for "Georges Simenon", the French writer, the source of inspiration for his novel, the "Saint Fiacre Case". Nestled in the heart of an English style park of 10 hectares, cooled by a pond, this elegant dwelling place, will accommodate comfortably, 8 to 13 people. Adorned with antique decoration, wood work panneling, large fireplaces, paintings and hangings, the castle has four big rooms, each one with a bath room and a television. And four smaller rooms, also with a televison, that chare a common bath room. There is also a large living room and a smaller one, a library, a dining room, a living room equiped with TV/DVD and video. There is a kitchen and a laundry completely equiped. For you pleasure and "farniete", there is a wonderful terrace, garden furniture, a vegetable garden, a ping-pong table and last, but not least, a swimming pool.
Around there are plenty of hikes to do. 20 km from the castle there is the fun park of "Le Pal". Depending on the season, there other castels of the "Bourbonnais" to visit. Documentation and information are available at the castle.
